Early Life and Career

ShaCarri Richardson was born on March 25, 2000, in Dallas, Texas. She began her track and field career at the age of 10, competing in local events and quickly establishing herself as a promising sprinter. In 2017, Richardson won the 100-meter dash at the USATF Junior National Championships, setting a new personal best time of 11.28 seconds.

Achievements

World's Fastest Woman

Richardson made headlines in 2021 when she became the fastest woman in the world after winning the women's 100-meter title at the track and field world championships. Her time of 10.72 seconds was the fifth-fastest ever run by a woman.

Olympic Trials and Controversy

Richardson went on to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but was suspended for 30 days after testing positive for marijuana. Despite her suspension, Richardson remains a promising athlete with the potential to achieve great things in the future.
